Sales and account management responsibilities for interior/exterior plastic injection molded, thermoformed and extruded die cut parts / assemblies (PP, PC, ABS, EPDM, PVC, HDPE) for NVH (acoustics) and air / water management to Ford Motor Co., Navistar and Tier 1 System Integrators. Interfaced with design engineering, color / trim studios, purchasing, accounts payable / receivable, quality and material development groups. Quoted and negotiated commercial issues (production & service), initiated engineering changes and reported sales forecasts. Numerous RFQ’s worth in excess of $25 million were received and $18 million of new business awarded.

Participated with program management teams, APQP Process and cross functional engineering teams. Identified and developed strategies related to new business opportunities and technological developments that were consistent with the company’s injection molding / “Flex Bright” objectives. Managed and negotiated commercial issues via purchasing & accounts payable / receivable to improve cash flow, coordinated engineering changes, reported annual sales forecasts. Accomplishments included numerous RFQ’s were received, $4.8 million in sales were awarded, $800K in tooling costs retrieved and retroactive piece price increases secured via SPECS proposal and material increases.

Represented a major plastic injection molding company and metal stamping company to Ford Motor Company and various OEM suppliers. Annual sales of $15 million. Secured the Mercury Grand Marquis and Ford Crown Victoria interior armrest assemblies, the UN-46 (Explorer) front and rear wheel flares. Negotiated and received numerous piece price increases for material and labor covering 40 production parts.

GENERAL TIRE & RUBBER CO. REINFORCED PLASTICS DIVISION 1982-1986

Account Executive

Coordinated and implemented sales and engineering for two thermoset compression molding facilities to Ford Motor Company and General Motors. Annual sales forecasts, piece price and tooling cost negotiations, obsolescence claims and various transportation and accounting disputes. Secured the 1987 Mustang front grille opening reinforcement business, worth in excess of $3 million annually. Negotiated and received numerous price increases (material, labor, quality capability) for major FRP production parts. Thus, annual sales increased from $10 million to $15 million.
