Summary of Qualifications and Experience

• Currently focusing on assisting Laboratory Technologists and Microbiologists with routine microbiological assays including: heterotrophic pour plates, membrane filtration, biochemical analysis and multiple tube method

• Conduct routine Quality Assurance/Quality Control in a laboratory setting

• Cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment (autoclaves, pH meters, incubators, water baths and refrigerators)

• Utilize aseptic technique on a consistent basis

• Report data and results in Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)

• Working knowledge of general laboratory housekeeping and proper disposal of biological hazardous waste materials

• Maintain an understanding of the physical and chemical methods related to microbial growth and control

• Experience with biological buffers preparation

• Familiar with molecular procedures such as PCR and gel electrophoresis

• Skilled in microscope work

• Familiar with various chromatography techniques

• Proficient in media preparation and pH meter calibration

• Familiar with tissue culture techniques

• Comprehensive understanding of good laboratory practices

• Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) experience, academic

• Maintain an understanding of protein, DNA, and RNA purification/isolation techniques
