Provided GIS and field support for projects with the Digital Methods Development Section, (DMDS), The National Watershed Boundary Dataset, (WBD), and was the lead Hydrologic Technician for the Tooele County Water Level Monitoring Project while providing support as needed for other projects and publications. Duties included surveying elevations and locations of study sites, taking water level measurements and creating detailed sketches of sites for computing depth to water measurements. Other GIS duties performed were digitizing and ortho-rectification of images, digitizing points, lines and polygons to create derived potentiametric elevation maps of ground water levels. Sampling duties included Laboratory preparation of collected samples for further testing, piloting a US Geologic Survey motor boat on the Great Salt Lake for water, sediment and gas samples. Soil and water samples were collected throughout Utah and Colorado including injection well testing for ground water movement studies. Equipment used included Box Core, Suspended Sediment Sampler, Hydro-Lab multi-parameter probes Hydrometers, Beritrol Data Loggers, Electric Sounding Tapes, Steel Sounding Tapes, and acoustic flow meters.
