What we do
We are a certified SWaM (Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned) language services agency with offices in Vienna, VA, close to the vibrant Tyson’s Corner shopping center. With an online scheduling system powered by Fluency Inc. and a scheduling team who is ready to receive and fulfill requests 24/7, we offer unparalleled service at an affordable cost. We currently serve a multitude of clients in Virginia, Maryland, and the Washington DC metropolitan area with our team of over 500 qualified medical interpreters, translators, and tutors whose language abilities span over 80 languages and dialects.
Our interpreters and translators come from many different backgrounds, and use their experience and training to tactfully and respectfully avoid cultural issues during interpretation sessions; they have received praise by highly respected companies and government agencies for the quality of their work. Our training
Liberty Language Services is a licensed provider of Bridging the Gap, a nationally recognized 40-hour medical interpreter training course designed by the CCHCP that focuses on cultural competency and professional interactions. We are proud to say that the majority of our interpreters have gone through our in-house education program and completed Bridging The Gap. Those interpreters that do not take Bridging The Gap are required to attend an equivalent 40-hour training program before accepting assignments.
Our online program, Online Interpreter Training: Medical Edition, provides students with the same quality of education that they would receive from our in-house instructor. In addition, this program allows students to complete the coursework on their own time and in their own homes. Online Interpreter Training: Medical Edition is a wonderful alternative for people with busy schedules who want to become trained medical interpreters.
Cultural sensitivity training is an asset for any company with a diverse workforce. Fortunately, Liberty employees are available to give this policy training to your staff upon request at our Vienna office. If in-house training is preferable, we can send our Cultural Instructor to your place of business.
