Javed International Consultants (JIC), Bangladesh with their international lead firm PROTASIS SA, Greece (Website www.protasis.net.gr) has been shortlisted for the project of AMI Infrastructure Consultancy project in BT / Tajikistan, financed by ADB. 1 ) Communications Specialist : 6 months occupation out of 40 months
• Assignment: 1) Review the contractors engineering design, documentation, equipment selection and test program 2) Monitor Contractor’s construction activities and certify works completed 3) Review Contractors’ plans for proof of concept, commissioning, and final acceptance procedure. 4) Witness Contractor’s proof of concept and testing and commissioning phases.
• Requirements: • a graduate degree in engineering • 10 years of experience in design and supervision of communications projects • Experience of wireless and wired communication technologies proposed in the Project feasibility study.
2) Metering Specialist: 24 months occupation out of 40 months
• Assignment: Review the contractors engineering design, documentation, equipment selection and test program 2) Monitor Contractor’s construction activities and certify works completed 3) Review Contractors’ plans for proof of concept, commissioning, and final acceptance procedure. 4) Witness Contractor’s proof of concept and testing and commissioning phases. 5) Assist BT in preparing a metering code for regulatory approval.
• Requirements: a graduate degree in engineering; • 10 years of experience in electrical systems and control and instrumentation engineering to include 5 years of metering projects
3) Distribution Specialist : 18 months occupation out of 40 months :
• Assignment: 1) Review the contractors engineering design, documentation, equipment selection and test program 2) Approve propose LV and MV works and bills of quantity. 3) Monitor Contractor’s construction activities and certify works completed 4) Review Contractors’ plans for commissioning, and final acceptance procedure. 5) Witness Contractor’s testing and commissioning phases.
• Requirements: • a graduate degree in engineering • 10 years of power sector experience to include design and implementation on LV and MV distribution system upgrade
4) Systems Specialist : 36 months :
• Assignment:1) Review the contractors engineering design, documentation, equipment selection and test program relating to specified expertise. 2) Monitor Contractor’s construction activities and certify works completed 3) Review Contractors’ plans for proof of concept, commissioning, and final acceptance procedure. 4) Witness Contractor’s proof of concept and testing and commissioning phases. 5) Prepare and document the business processes and procedures for the customer information and billing system
• Requirements: A graduate degree in engineering • 15 years of experience in energy infrastructure projects of which 10 years in metering system • projects Experience with Meter Data Management Systems, Billing Systems, Customer Information Systems, and metering control center design. • Experience with ADB’s disbursement, procurement and project monitoring requirements is desirable.
