We are currently seeking an energetic, mechanically inclined, and safety-focused Processing Technician to join our CBE Team at our Savannah, GA Plant.

Can work a 12-hour DuPont swing schedule
Is comfortable working in heat and outdoor conditions
Isn’t afraid of heights (ladders/catwalks up to 60 ft.)
Can confidently read a tape measure and perform basic mechanical checks
Enjoys hands-on work and troubleshooting equipment
Has experience in a food-grade manufacturing facility (a plus!)
Has forklift experience or certification (also a plus!)

The Processing Technician supports the safe and efficient receipt, handling, blending, and movement of edible vegetable oils. This role works with computer-controlled processing equipment and requires the ability to adapt to changing operational needs. Overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required with or without notice.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate computer-driven process systems, boilers, and wastewater treatment equipment
Sample, measure, and monitor tank temperatures and inventory levels
Receive, store, and handle chemicals and ingredients
Blend and transfer oils; operate valves; ensure proper heat tracing and line clearing
Monitor and adjust pH and dosing for wastewater operations
Support boiler operations and fuel conversion systems
Clean and contain oil spills when necessary
Change industrial filters and clean process areas
Prepare equipment for startup, shutdown, freeze plans, and weather events
Perform troubleshooting and minor maintenance/repairs
Operate forklifts to move materials
Support special projects and additional duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum six months manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
Food-grade manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Mechanically inclined and comfortable learning technical systems
Skills:
Ability to read safety documents, standard operating procedures, and maintenance instructions
Capable of completing reports and communicating via radio
Strong mathematical ability (fractions, decimals, conversions, basic algebra)
Strong problem-solving and situational assessment skills
Ability to use a tape measure accuratelyPHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to:
Stand, walk, climb (up to 60 ft.), balance, stoop, kneel, and crawl
Lift up to 50 pounds (with reasonable accommodation)
Distinguish hot vs. cold surfaces
Use vision to monitor gauges and control screens
