By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.

What you'll be doing
Manage and operate the Event Management process across IT infrastructure components, ensuring timely detection, logging, and response to system-generated events.
Collaborate with monitoring teams to configure and optimize event detection tools and thresholds.
Classify and prioritize events based on impact and urgency, triggering appropriate workflows (e.g., incident, problem, or change management).
Ensure integration of event data with service management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, HP SMT).
Analyze event trends to identify potential service degradations or failures before they occur.
Maintain documentation and continuously improve event management procedures in alignment with ITIL standards.
Provide regular reporting on event volumes, types, and resolution metrics to support operational transparency and decision-making.
Work closely with infrastructure, application, and support teams to ensure event-driven actions are timely and effective.
What you'll bring along
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
Minimum 5–10 years in a similar role.
Solid experience in IT Infrastructure Operations, preferably in enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of the ITIL framework, especially Event Management, Incident Management, and Monitoring & Reporting.
Hands-on experience with monitoring and event management tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, SolarWinds, Zabbix).
Ability to interpret technical data and correlate events across systems to identify root causes and service impacts.
Excellent communication and coordination skills, with a proactive and analytical mindset.
ITIL Foundation certification (required); Intermediate or Expert level certifications are a plus.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure environments is advantageous.
Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
