We are seeking a skilled DB2 Systems Programmer to join our team. As a Programmer, you will create functional coding solutions for our company. Responsibilities will include collaborating with stakeholders to understand the company's needs and create software solutions to address those needs, transforming software designs into code, and testing and upgrading code. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with a passion for coding. Expertise as DB2 z/OS Systems programmer for 8+ years, DB2 performance monitoring and tuning, DB2 connect, implement and manage high availability, work closely with DB2 DBA group, development teams, MVS.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand the companys needs and create software solutions for those needs

Write code in the appropriate language

Review and update operating systems and software regularly

Integrate individual software solutions to higher-level systems

Test software and debug routinelyQualifications

A bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred

Ability to program in multiple languages such as C++, Java, and Python

Experience in developing web applications

Understanding of relational databases

Ability to find and fix errors in software and programs

Strong analytical skills

Ability to work well as part of a team

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Understanding of data privacy and security

Flexible work from home options available.
