Mobile Application Developer

Opportunity: Virtual Service Operations is searching for an experienced Mobile Application Developer to join our IT team in Ashburn, VA. This hybrid role requires work on-site approximately 2 days per week. The role combines strong communication skills with hands-on technical troubleshooting to support application issues and preventative measures. You will collaborate to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable, real-time systems. You will participate in and/or direct major deliverables through all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding, and unit testing. The candidate should have expertise in Mobile App Development.

Basic Qualifications:

BS/BA degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 years of prior relevant experience; or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree

At least 5 years experience with Mobile Application Development, must have experience with both Android & iOS

Experience with Front-end Mobile and Back-end RESTFUL API development

Experience in development of JAVA, Node JS applications

Experience in both NoSQL and SQL databases

Strong application testing discipline. Experience with Googles Flutter engine and Dart language and related Android/iOS frameworks

Excellent problem-solving skills; creative thinker

Proficiency with Postgres, Springboot, SQL, Kafka, MySQL, Struts, Hibernate, Java, JSF, Swing, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Angular/React (desired)

Knowledge of software design patterns

Experience with issue/problem tracking systems (e.g., Jira)

Proficiency with common Agile practices and service-oriented development

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience with DevOps frameworks

Preferred Qualifications:

Active CBP BI

Experience with CBP

AWS Experience

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines

Experience working in an Agile environment

Other mobile framework experience

Requirements:

Must be able to work approximately 2 days per week on-site in Ashburn, VA

U.S. citizenship status required due to government contract

Must be able to maintain and obtain a CBP Background Investigation prior to start

Salary Description: $80,000.00 - $107,000.00 depending on experience
