Description:

Knowledge of coding guidelines, payer guidelines, and federal billing guidelines is essential.

Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes is required.

The candidate must have the ability to research coding-related issues.

Competence in coder training is expected.

Knowledge and expertise in using 3M/HDS coding applications are required.

Experience in outpatient and emergency department coding is essential.
