About the role:

As the Coordinator - Inventory, you will lead a team based at our Trade and Fulfilment Centre located at Wacol. Predominantly overseeing the inventory team, your team will be responsible for inventory accuracy, receipting of inbound goods and optimising stock flow across the DC.

Reporting to the Fulfilment Operations Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations and leadership. As a member of the site leadership team, you will act as a driver of Bunnings' strong safety and customer-centric culture.

What's involved:

Lead, coach, mentor and train a team of direct and indirect reports, offering genuine care and living the Bunnings values

Educate team on enhanced inventory controls or procedures

Work with the site leadership team to ensure systems and inventory processes are optimised

Forecast and roster the team (including labour hire) efficiently and effectively, managing wages and P&L reports

Drive sites KPI’s, ensuring DIFOT/SIFOT metrics are communicated and monitored

Drive safety performance within the FC, including reporting and investigating injuries and incidents

Support and collaborate with the sites leadership team and build strong relationships with your team and stakeholders both internal and external

Who we’re looking for

In addition to your technical skills across warehousing and distribution, you will have experience as a team manager or team leader with demonstrated people leadership skills. Your open commutation style and strong interpersonal skills will support you to building excellent relationships with both stakeholders and your team. You will be passionate about building a culture-based work environment with a strong commitment to excellent customer service.

You’ll need:

Prior people leadership experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally within supply chain, logistics or distribution

Previous experience managing a high volume of inventory within a large FC or DC operation is highly desirable

Ability to analyse data and understand reports and ability to utilise Microsoft Excel.

A strong focus on driving safety culture

Previous experience in managing rosters, salaries & wages

Ability to coach and develop others, providing feedback and getting the best out of the team

An ability to achieve results and standards by working with your team
