The position primarily involves serving as an RN first assistant during surgical and invasive procedures, ensuring the highest standards of safety and effectiveness. When not functioning as a first assistant, the nurse will contribute by performing scrub or circulator duties, supporting the surgical team throughout the perioperative continuum.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide safe, effective, and high-quality patient-family centered care in the operating room and other perioperative areas

Serve primarily as an RN first assistant during operative and invasive procedures, adhering to scope of practice and verified competencies

Assume secondary roles of scrub or circulator when first assist is not needed

Collaborate closely with the surgical team to maintain optimal patient safety and care standards

Desired Qualifications:

Current RN licensure with Operating Room experience

Certification or credentials supporting first assistant role preferred

Strong knowledge of perioperative procedures and protocols

Ability to function independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
