SummaryLead the end-to-end delivery, stability, and continuous improvement of GridFusion (GF), a pivotal Finance IT application for GE Vernova Hydro. Act as the bridge between business users and DT, transforming user needs into actionable requirements, governing process excellence, ensuring high-quality releases, and driving adoption globally across the Hydro business.
Job Description
Activities:
Engage GF users to elicit and document new requirements; experience user pain points firsthand and translate them into clear, outcome-driven use cases and acceptance criteria.
Partner with DT to assess feasibility; classify requests as configuration vs. development; estimate effort/impact and prioritize the backlog.
Process stewardship and improvement
Deeply understand Hydro Finance processes, including Monthly Project Reviews (MPR) and Project Margin Reviews (PMR); map as-is processes and identify gaps/opportunities in GF usage.
Define, implement, and enforce standardized processes and controls (e.g., sanity checks, data quality rules, validation checkpoints) to improve reliability and compliance.
Create SOPs/playbooks; deliver training and change management to drive adoption across functions and regions.
Delivery, testing, and release governance
Orchestrate delivery with DT teams (Agile/Scrum or hybrid), manage UAT planning and execution, and maintain end-to-end traceability from requirements to test outcomes.
Perform Go/No-Go assessments for releases before production and after deployment (hypercare), ensuring readiness, stability, and quality.
Ensure adherence to SDLC, change control, documentation standards, and audit/SOX requirements where applicable.
Communication, stakeholder management, stability, and adoption
Serve as the single point of contact for GF improvements and change requests; maintain transparent communications via roadmaps, status updates, and release notes that clearly state impact, risk, required user actions, and timelines.
Drive stability through proactive communications: publish release calendars, maintenance windows, SLAs/SLOs; manage incident/outage communications (ETAs, workarounds), maintain a live known-issues list, and lead post-incident reviews with corrective actions.
Lead adoption programs: stakeholder mapping, champions network, targeted enablement by persona/region, office hours, community of practice, in-app guidance, and role-based training materials.
Measure and act on health/adoption metrics: platform stability, data quality, process adherence, and usage analytics by function/region; drive remediation and continuous improvement.
Establish recurring Voice of Customer touchpoints (surveys, listening sessions) and convert insights into prioritized backlog items and process updates.
Facilitate cross-functional decisions and risk escalations; run governance forums (steerco, release readiness, hypercare) to align business, DT, and process owners
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or related field;
5+ years managing finance/business applications in IT/DT as a Project, Program, or Product Manager;
Strong finance domain experience in project-based environments: MPR, PMR, project margin analytics, revenue/cost controls;
Proven ability to convert business processes into system requirements and distinguish configuration from customization;
Demonstrated track record improving platform stability and driving end-user adoption in global, matrixed settings;
Good understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, UAT, test strategy, release/change management, and documentation best practices;
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills; ability to advocate for users and drive consensus;
