Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to join our SymmetricDS product
team and support the sales process by acting as a technical expert and trusted advisor to our
prospective clients. This role bridges the gap between complex technical solutions and
customer business needs, ensuring successful pre-sales engagements and long-term
customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with sales representatives to understand client requirements and provide tailored technical solutions.
Deliver product demonstrations, proof of concepts (POCs), and technical presentations.
Translate customer business requirements into technical solutions that align with our offerings.
Lead RFP/RFI responses, solution architecture documentation, and technical proposals.
Maintain deep understanding of SymmetricDS product and industry trends to serve as a subject matter expert.
Assist with onboarding and mentoring junior sales engineers as needed.
Serve as a technical liaison between customers and internal teams (product, engineering, support).
Support post-sales handoff to implementation teams and ensure customer success alignment.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5–8+ years of experience in a sales engineering, solutions consulting, or pre-sales role.
Strong technical background in databases, data warehouse, data replication and integration.
Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and support enterprise customers.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
Experience with the Java programming language.
Ability to setup and maintain docker images.
Experience with Canva to build and organize technical documents for the pre-sales process
