Klein & Hoffman is seeking Architectural Engineering interns for our Chicago, Milwaukee and Philadelphia offices.

We take pride in our firm's 70 years of expertise helping clients investigate, plan and design structurally sound buildings, while delivering creative solutions to address our clients' needs. We are a team of restoration architects and structural engineers delivering projects that expand the functionality of buildings and facilities. We investigate, assess, and develop repair/rehabilitation designs for existing buildings. Our internship program provides a well-rounded experience on the various stages of project delivery as well as onsite construction observation.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in preparation of design, construction documents, and solutions to building envelope rehabilitation projects
Work with Project Managers or Inspectors to conduct on-site investigations, condition assessments, and construction observations, which may include documenting field notes, drawings and photographs
Assist in preparation of designs, repair quantity calculations, sketches, diagrams and schematic drawings
Research and maintain conformance with building standards, established architectural practices, and applicable building codes
Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service
Other responsibilities as assigned
Currently enrolled in either a Master's degree program or completing a Bachelor's degree with intent to enroll in a Master's degree program in Architecture or related field
Must be motivated, take initiative and have a curiosity & desire to learn
Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite
Basic knowledge in Revit is preferred
Ability to effectively meet deadlines
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
Ability to work in team environment
Interest in Architecture with a focus on rehabilitation of existing structures
