Position Title: Restoration Supervisor
Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of job execution to ensure high-quality service delivery, accurate documentation, and efficient use of resources. This role involves daily compliance with DBMX job tracking, including accurate moisture readings, photo documentation, and customer signatures. The Supervisor ensures all work is completed according to scope, inspects work quality, and provides continuous training and coaching to technicians. Effective communication with the Restoration Manager and production team is essential, along with diligent equipment and vehicle maintenance. The Supervisor manages labor and chemical usage to control expenses, enforces strict safety protocols, and ensures thorough, timely documentation of all job activities. This position plays a key leadership role in driving operational excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction on every restoration project.
Duties/Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
DBMX Compliance
Daily validation of job progress in DBMX.
Enter moisture readings daily using the same moisture point locations with photo verification.
Daily required photos of source of loss, departure, PPE, equipment, affected contents.
Ensure equipment placement and count per room is accurate.
Ensure all required documents are signed by customer.
Communication
Consistently contacts Restoration Manager before leaving jobsite, clearly communicating job status
Promptly communicates any changes in job scope to Restoration Manager clearly and effectively.
Regularly provides clear and timely updates in the Teams Production channel.
Accurate Scope Execution
Complete work according to work order.
Perform any additional work not communicated on work order & document it in DBMX and add to scope.
Supervise and inspect all work to ensure full scope execution.
Work Quality
Set clear expectations for techs before work begins.
Inspect work performed by techs looking for missed demo, sloppy containment, incomplete drying set ups & safety hazards.
Train & coach continuously based on what you see. Supervisory Responsibilities
LMA (Lead, Manage, Accountability)
Clearly set expectations on job sites, ensuring team members understand their tasks and are held accountable for the results
Demonstrate the ability to follow directions given and to communicate decisions clearly to the team while assisting them in achieving success on job site Skills and Abilities
Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate restoration technicians to achieve high-quality results and meet project goals.
Able to clearly and effectively communicate with team members, management, and customers, both verbally and in writing.
Consistently ensures accuracy in documentation, equipment placement, scope execution, and job site conditions.
Effectively manages multiple job sites, timelines, and resources while maintaining clear documentation and timely updates.
Strong understanding of restoration processes, equipment usage, moisture mapping, and documentation software (e.g., DBMX, Docusketch).
Able to identify issues on job sites and take proactive steps to resolve them while minimizing delays or additional costs.
Deep knowledge of job site safety practices, PPE use, and hazard identification; able to enforce safety protocols consistently.
Capable of making informed, on-the-spot decisions regarding scope changes, resource allocation, and quality control.
Maintains a professional and courteous demeanor, ensuring customer satisfaction and clear communication throughout the project.
Highly dependable, self-motivated, and committed to upholding company standards and project integrity at all times. Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
3+ years of experience in the restoration industry or a related construction field, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
IICRC Certification(s) required or must be obtained within a specified timeframe after hire (e.g., Water Damage Restoration Technician - WRT, Applied Structural Drying - ASD).
Proficient in restoration job management software, such as DBMX and Docusketch, or similar platforms.
Demonstrated experience managing teams, ensuring compliance with scopes, and maintaining thorough documentation.
Familiarity with safety protocols, moisture mapping, equipment maintenance, and efficient labor/resource management. Physical Requirements
Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move equipment, materials, and debris weighing up to 50 pounds.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching in various work environments
Comfortable working in confined spaces, high heat, humidity, or cold conditions, as well as areas with debris, mold, or water damage
Ability to operate and maneuver heavy machinery, tools, and equipment
Capable of wearing and working in personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, gloves, and suits, for extended periods
Frequent use of hands and arms for handling materials, cleaning, and equipment operation
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when necessary
Strong stamina and endurance to perform physically demanding tasks for extended shifts
Ability to operate a motor vehicle Conditions of Employment
