This leadership role oversees all accounting department functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial statement preparation, budgeting, cost reporting, and general accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and recommend upgrades to data processing equipment and software to enhance operational efficiency.
Manage capital and operational budgets, supplies, and ensure compliance with relevant accrediting bodies.
Develop and implement strategies to meet departmental goals and maintain high-quality outcomes.
Continuously evaluate and improve department performance through quality control and improvement programs.
Demonstrate expertise in healthcare finance, including budget planning, productivity monitoring, and variance analysis.
Lead and develop effective work teams through training, coaching, hiring, performance appraisals, and employee counseling.
Oversee monthly financial close processes, including general ledger review and variance analysis.
Coordinate preparation and planning for annual financial audits.
Conduct timely monthly balance sheet account reviews.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration is required.
Experience
Minimum of five years in healthcare financial and accounting roles, with proven supervisory and analytical skills.
Certification
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
