Database Administrator

Vantor is seeking a Database Administratorto the ability to proactively manage diverse database environments while ensuring data integrity, security compliance, and minimal downtime in a highly sensitive and mission-focused environment.Perform routine database administration tasks, including backups, restores, patching, and upgrades. Collaborate with developers, engineers, and security personnel to support application requirements and data access controls. 6 years of professional experience in database administration or related field.Bachelor's degree in Database Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proficiency with at least one major RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Elasticsearch).Experience with database backup/recovery strategies and performance tuning. Knowledge of database security best practices and role-based access control. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Experience working in a classified or DoD environment. Familiarity with cloud-based database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL). Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
