Job Description
Senior Estimator Responsibilities
Manage all project documentation to ensure compliance, schedule adherence, and budget control.
Assemble and distribute as-built drawings, warranties, certificates of occupancy, and lien releases.
Schedule projects in logical phases and allocate time effectively to meet deadlines.
Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Track and analyze cost data to reduce gaps between estimates and actuals.
Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor bids and budgets.
Prepare and present comprehensive estimate documentation, identifying gaps and risks.
Generate estimates across multiple delivery systems and review quotes with project management.
Assist with post-bid buyouts and subcontractor onboarding.
Participate in meet-and-greet presentations with subcontractors and suppliers.

The Successful Applicant
Senior Estimator Qualifications
7+ years of experience in construction estimating (commercial preferred).
Strong understanding of construction law and industry best practices.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Associate's degree required; Bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
Experience across diverse project types and delivery methods.
Proficiency in construction software and willingness to learn new platforms.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Ability to prepare estimates from proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
Skilled in identifying labor, material, and time requirements.
Comfortable attending bid meetings, owner meetings, and stakeholder presentations.
Works directly with the Chief Estimator on both small and large-scale projects.
Effective communication with subcontractors and suppliers (e.g., concrete, steel, precast, masonry).
