Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)

Selectek is seeking to hire an HVAC-focused Mechanical Engineer for a senior role on a permanent basis. Our partnering company, located near Columbus, Ohio, needs candidates with strong backgrounds in industrial HVAC and plumbing facilities.

Employment Type: Permanent Hire

Expected Pay Range: $80,000-$95,000 annually, depending on experience and certification level

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Required:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree

5 years minimum HVAC experience with minimum 2 years industrial HVAC experience

Knowledge of mechanical and fire codes and NFPA and ASHRAE standards

AutoCAD, AutoCAD or RevitPreferred:

Experience with plumbing, dust collection, and fire protection

Revit experience a plus

In addition to these requirements, candidates must hold United States citizenship, per the client's request. Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.

Job Details:

Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning design for industrial and chemical plants and related office facilities

Heating and cooling load calculations. Reviewing and applying recent applicable codes and standards (i.e., Mechanical, Fire, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.)

Engineering of dust and fume collection systems

Plumbing system layout and sizing

Fire protection design specification

Oversees the production of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection drawings

Interfaces with other engineering disciplines and clients

Performs field work by obtaining information, making field sketches, and verifying drawings Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:45a-3:45p. Work from home on Monday and Friday.
