Certified Medical Coders - Outpatient

Busy acute care hospital is seeking a Medical Coder to join their team.

Responsibilities include: Perform medical coding in an acute care setting, including outpatient and ED encounters, using ICD-10, ICD-9-CM, CPT-4, and Encoder systems.

Apply knowledge of coding guidelines, payor regulations, federal billing requirements, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes to ensure accurate coding.

Research coding-related issues, support coder training, and utilize 3M/HDS coding applications.

Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical coding.

CCS certification required.

Proficient computer skills, including MS Word and Excel.
