HQ Aero is currently recruiting for STRUCTURES TECHNICIANS in TUCSON, AZ.

Responsibilities:

As a Structures Technician, you will be required to:

• Remove / install aircraft components as required.

• Fabricate and or modify structural modifications on aircraft parts.

• Perform minor structural repairs on composite components either attached or detached.

• Assist in conducting hidden damage inspection of aircraft structures and aircraft component repair.

• Assist with complex structural repairs either on or off aircraft.

• Perform mechanical / electrical removals and installations as required.

• Inspect confined areas of airframe and assist in providing time estimates as required.

• Adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to work area and job functions.

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of structural sheet metal repair / modification experience or substantiated similar experience.

o Corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft experience required.

o CRJ airframe experience a plus.

o MRO / Heavy Maintenance experience required.

o If former military, those with military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections) a plus.

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) or Airframe (A) license is required.

• Standard Aviation Tool Kit is required.

• Completed Sheet metal A/C Tech school or equivalent Training.

• Able to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.

• Ability to effectively communicate (verbal & written) aircraft status.

• Demonstrated ability to train other employees is preferred.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

• Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language in accordance with Title 14 CFR Part 65.

Job Type:

• Full-time, Contract

• Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts - 3 days @ 12 hours per day / off for 4 days / work 4 days @ 12 hours per day / off for 3 days - Must be willing to work either shift.

• Overtime is available.

Essential Job Functions

• Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.

• Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance. Must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to multi-task.

• Must be computer proficient.

• Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.

• Work Environment: Ability to work in confined spaces. FAR Part 145 aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.
