If so, you may be the ideal fit for the Paralegal / Junior Legal Advisor role at the Moving Capital Group. Our Group spans financial services (including two FSP-licensed entities), marketing, software development, debt collection, and due-diligence services. In this role, you will work closely with the Group Legal Advisor and play an integral part in ensuring legal, regulatory, and contractual alignment across a diverse and fast-growing organization.
Responsibilities
Provide legal and compliance support on FAIS, FICA, the Insurance Act, TCF, Policyholder Protection Rules, and Fit & Proper requirements
Research regulatory developments and prepare submissions, license amendments, and correspondence with regulators
Draft responses to the FAIS Ombud, OSTI, and other dispute forums
Prepare legal opinions, affidavits, pleadings, and letters of demand
Liaise with external legal counsel and support litigation activities
Draft and review contracts including service agreements, supplier contracts, NDAs, SaaS agreements, licensing arrangements, data-processing agreements, and technology/IP contracts
Manage the contract repository and monitor renewal timelines
Ensure compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, ARB codes, and advertising standards
Draft and review marketing agreements, influencer contracts, and promotional terms
Draft and review software development agreements, licensing agreements, and technology partnership documents
Advise on intellectual property ownership, protection, and commercialization
Provide legal advice on the Debt Collectors Act, NCA, and collection mandates
Support POPIA and PAIA compliance, including drafting privacy notices, DPAs, and data-breach plans
Conduct legal research and prepare summaries, opinions, and briefing notes
Manage company secretarial duties including CIPC filings, annual returns, MOIs, shareholder agreements, resolutions, and minutes
Maintain beneficial ownership registers and support corporate transactions, due diligence, acquisitions, and restructuring
Assist with labor-related matters such as employment contracts and disciplinary documentation
Help deliver POPIA, FAIS, and general compliance training across the Group
