This role involves preparing accurate and competitive project estimates by interpreting proposals, drawings, specifications, and tender requirements. _RESPONSIBILITIES_
* Prepares detailed cost estimates by analyzing labor, materials, equipment, and time requirements.
* Reviews and interprets architectural and engineering plans, specifications, scopes of work, and schedules.
* Performs quantity take-offs for various trades and disciplines.
* Solicits and evaluates subcontractor and supplier pricing.
* Enters estimate data into spreadsheets and estimating software.
* Helps prepare bid packages and proposal documentation.
* Participates in pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary.
* Collaborates with project managers and construction engineers during handoff and throughout preconstruction.
* Maintains organized historical data, pricing records, and cost trends.
* Assists in identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommending project budgets.

* High school diploma or equivalent (such as GED or HSED)

* Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related fi eld
_WORK EXPERIENCE_
*Required*
* 3 years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor
_SKILLS_
*Required*
* Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with estimating/project management tools (e.g., Bluebook, Procore)
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction xrczosw documents
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
* Eagerness to grow within the construction fi eld

* Experience in estimating for residential, commercial, or industrial projects
* Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and terminology
