The Role Pre-Apprentice
We are seeking a motivated Pre-Apprentice to support our team with basic electrical tasks and on-site assistance. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-minded, and eager to learn, with a strong interest in developing a career in the electrical trade. Responsibilities include assisting with wiring, conduit installation, material handling, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. This role offers hands-on experience, mentorship from licensed electricians, and opportunities for growth within the company.
What You'll Do
Have a positive attitude and be enthusiastic about work.
Seek out work when assigned tasks have been completed.
Work well with others and exhibit a desire to please customers and supervisors.
Meet or exceed expectations of supervisors regarding tasks, goals, hours, etc.
Ask questions and look for ways to advance your career.
Actively learn basic tasks, such as pipe bending, basic circuitry, trenching, wire pulling, blueprint reading, etc.
What You Bring (Required Experience)
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Must possess a valid driver's license and access to personal transportation or must have access to reliable and efficient means of transportation to and from work sites.
The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
Must possess basic knowledge of the use of a PC and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
The ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
The ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Bonus Points For (Preferred Experience)
One to three months of related experience and/or training are a plus, but not necessary.
