Job Requirements

Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

Certifications Requirements: Valid Illinois PTA license; CPR certification; HIPAA certification.

Experience Requirements: At least 1 year of experience as a PTA in a hospital setting; experience with adult patient populations; familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Other Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods; strong communication skills; attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to enhance mobility and functional recovery in a hospital setting.

Collaborate with physical therapists and healthcare team members to develop and implement patient treatment plans.

Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment sessions in EMR systems.

Educate patients and family members on rehabilitation exercises and proper health practices.

Execute patient assessments and report findings to the supervising physical therapist to ensure optimal care adjustments.
