Position: Fleet Integration Specialist

Pay Rate: $21.51 per hour

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm

Job Description:

The Fleet Integration Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy that will increase revenue and market share for Forward Air. They will be accountable for prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships. They will be accountable for managing communication between Forward Air's Linehaul Network and the Carrier Sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in the transportation industry and a strong network of contacts across the country. This role supports the efforts of our Fleet Operations by providing visibility and maintaining accurate documentation for all dispatched loads. The key responsibilities of this function are to provide clear communication with the Linehaul Network, troubleshoot customer concerns and pro-actively monitor the movement of freight to ensure customer satisfaction.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

Source freight from various customer types to inflect miles into the FAF Fleet network

Negotiate market rates for full truckload shipments based on mixed data sets

Track and trace all load assignments to ensure accuracy and delivery of time-sensitive freight

Communicate with regional planners to ensure that on-time service is provided for all internal and external customer shipments

Provide superior intercompany and intracompany communications and customer service

Closely monitor miles run while freight is in transit to ensure accurate delivery times and to notify customers of any potential delays

Maintain accurate records to include time/date stamps, trailer numbers, seal numbers and any specific customer notes

Develop a strong relationship with 3PL and internal customers

Manage regional capacity fluctuations to align with operational capabilities

Develop network forecasts from internal and external data sources

Work cooperatively with truckload brokerage/sales to provide solutions for FAF Fleet flow needs and the Linehaul Network's balance of power needs

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

The ideal candidate will possess a "can do" attitude with a "will do" work ethic

Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Experience with McLeod & AS400 operating systems is a plus
