McKenzie Health Care Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Recreation Therapist to join the team full-time, within a leading senior’s care facility located in Red Deer County, Alberta.
In this role, the Recreation Therapist:
· Develops and implements personalized therapeutic recreation programs tailored to residents' needs.
· Supervises and guides recreational assistants, fostering a collaborative team environment.
· Conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, and monitor progress to maximize resident independence and participation.
· Promotes physical, cognitive, social, and emotional well-being through engaging activities.
· Collaborates with families, interdisciplinary teams, and volunteers to create a supportive and enriching environment.
Looking for a Recreation Therapist who:
· Holds a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Recreation Therapy.
· Member of ATRA, Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Therapist Association
· Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Demonstrates a passion for working with seniors and promoting their well-being.
