Perform administrative duties for Old Mutual Unit Trust and Strategic Investment Services, including maintaining accounting records, preparing related financial reports for various funds, managing fund distributions, completing reconciliations, and providing support to internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Administration
Daily monitoring of bank account cash movements, resolving imbalances, performing reconciliations, and conducting checks related to market instructions and resulting money flows. Provide expertise in the implementation and launch of new products, funds, and systems. Ensure all month-end deadlines and SLA requirements are met.
Provide coaching and training to enhance team capability and performance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging domain expertise and data-driven insights.
Data Collection and Analysis
Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats.
Involves working independently.
Insights and Reporting
Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports.
Prepare monthly financial packs for the management companies, Dividend and Income Tax payments and review Dividend Tax reports.
Liaise with auditors and provide all required reports
Relationship Building
Assist in building and maintaining a cohesive, high-performing team.
Develop and maintain cross-functional and third-party relationships to drive service quality and efficient issue resolution.
Operational Compliance
Identify, within the team, instances of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes (including Section 95 And Circular 15 of CISCA, Anti-Money Laundering) and codes of conduct, reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate.
Personal Capability Building
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required
Completed Matric and hold a tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
