Job Title: Scrum Master
Location: Princeton Pike, NJ
Work Model: 50% Onsite (Hybrid)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support Digital initiatives within Commercial BI&T. This role will guide Agile development processes and work closely with cross-functional teams—including data scientists, machine learning engineers, software developers, and product owners—to ensure successful, timely delivery of Digital projects. The Scrum Master will champion Agile principles, remove impediments, enhance communication, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Facilitate Agile Processes
Lead all Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Support sprint planning, goal-setting, and effort estimation.
Partner with the Product Owner to groom, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog.
2. Team Support & Coaching
Coach and guide team members in Agile methodologies and best practices.
Identify and remove obstacles impacting team progress.
Encourage a collaborative, transparent, and respectful team environment.
3. Project Coordination
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain alignment and drive successful project integration.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular status updates on milestones, risks, and issues.
4. Continuous Improvement
Facilitate retrospectives focused on team enhancement and process optimization.
Identify and implement improvements to increase overall efficiency and team performance.
5. Performance Tracking & Reporting
Track and report key performance metrics and KPIs related to team throughput and project health.
Prepare and present progress and performance reports to stakeholders and leadership.
6. Risk Management
Identify risks and issues that may affect project timelines and deliverables.
Develop mitigation strategies and ensure timely resolution of challenges.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Master’s degree or relevant certifications (CSM, PMI-ACP) are a plus.
Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Scrum Master, supporting software development or Digital project teams.
Experience in Pharma GxP software development preferred.
Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Skilled in facilitating discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
Proficiency with Jira, PPM tools, and Agile project management software.
