Finnair Technical Operations division's task is to execute Finnair's flight operations safely, economically and in a reliable manner. Finnair Technical Operations is responsible for the airworthiness of the Finnair fleet. The key objectives of Technical Operations are safety, reliable flight operations and cost-efficient maintenance processes.
We are now looking for a
VALUE STREAM MANAGER, COMPONENT MAINTENANCE
to lead and optimize our aircraft component maintenance production flow. In this role, you will ensure efficient operations, compliance, and continuous improvement while driving performance aligned with our organizational goals. To achieve this, we need leaders who bring energy, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit to drive change and inspire people.
You will focus on particular production lines but also participate the overall development and decision making of the Component Maintenance business area as part of the management team.
Key responsibilities:
Lead Production Operations:
Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines, balance resources across production areas, and resolve issues effectively.
Drive Change and Continuous Improvement:
Plan and implement process enhancements to boost quality and capacity, and lead change initiatives that strengthen our competitive edge.
Engage and Involve People:
Foster collaboration, presence, and involvement across teams to build a motivated and high-performing workforce.
Leverage Data for Growth:
Monitor KPIs, analyze operational data, and use insights to steer production performance and support external customer growth.
Develop People & Organization:
Review team performance, identify training needs, and propose staffing levels and organizational improvements.
Ensure Compliance & Safety:
Maintain adherence to approved procedures, regulatory requirements, and health, safety, and environmental standards.
Contribute to Strategic Decisions:
Act as a production expert in make/buy evaluations and help shape our future business model.
What we're looking for:
Proven ability to lead change, engage people, and deliver results in dynamic environments.
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation Maintenance, Industrial Management or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in managing maintenance or overhaul operations for mechanical components on high-value or critical production assets, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
