Robotics Technician Newaygo, MI
Salary Range: $60,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial robotic systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues in robotic cells.
Execute basic programming adjustments, path teaching, and logic modifications for optimized operation.
Assist with the installation, calibration, and setup of new robotic equipment.
Conduct repairs and component replacements to restore full robot functionality.
Monitor robot performance and implement adjustments to improve efficiency and reliability.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and program changes.
Recommended Qualifications
Associate's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2+ years of hands-on experience with industrial robot systems (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB), including programming, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
Proficiency in PLC programming, diagnostics, and troubleshooting (e.g., Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
Strong understanding of electrical control systems, mechanical components, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective repairs on complex automated machinery.
Bonus Qualifications
PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
Experience with industrial vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence)
Certification in a specific robotic brand (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB)
Familiarity with Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications or data analytics for robotics
Basic CAD software proficiency for cell layout or fixture design
