Material Handler / Forklift Operator

Job Description

Material handling: Load, unload, and transport materials, goods, and merchandise using a forklift or other industrial machinery.

Inventory management: Move, stack, and organize items in storage areas, ensuring proper placement and efficient workflow.

Safety and maintenance: Conduct daily safety checks on the forklift, report any malfunctions, and perform basic maintenance. Ensure loads are balanced and secure before moving.

Record keeping: Keep accurate records of materials moved, assist with inventory counts, and document all completed tasks.

Logistics: Help with loading and unloading trucks and containers, and prepare goods for shipment.

Workplace maintenance: Keep the work area clean and organized, adhering to all safety procedures and regulations.

Skills and qualifications

Ability to operate a forklift and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently.

Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to forklift operation.

Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory and proper load security.

Good communication skills to coordinate with other team members and departments.

Physical stamina for tasks that may require manual handling. Company Description
