About the Role
Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a Digital Transformation Engineer to guide digital strategy and implementation for a pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Middlesex County. The role requires a hands-on leader capable of aligning technology solutions with business objectives, managing internal and external development teams, and improving processes through automation and ERP solutions.
This position involves leading enterprise-level digital projects, automating workflows, integrating platforms, optimizing analytics, and supporting data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
– Lead company-wide digital transformation initiatives including ERP, order management, fulfillment, eCommerce, and system integrations
– Develop, mentor, and guide software developers and digital transformation engineers
– Serve as an internal consultant to identify process gaps and implement scalable, automated digital solutions
– Manage external vendors and offshore teams to ensure quality and timely project delivery
– Write and maintain Python scripts (Pandas, NumPy) for data automation, API integrations, and reporting
– Collaborate with Finance and Operations to create reports, reconcile inventory, and optimize analytics
– Evaluate and recommend technology vendors for ERP, MES, CMMS, B2B/B2C platforms, and analytics solutions
– Build business cases with ROI analysis to justify digital investments
– Oversee company websites, domains, and analytics tools while ensuring GDPR/CCPA compliance
– Work with IT and Help Desk teams to document infrastructure and support business continuity
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related technical field
– 6+ years of experience in digital strategy, customer experience, or operational technology
– Proven success implementing scalable digital solutions in manufacturing or related industries
Skills & Technical Knowledge
– Hands-on experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy) for automation and data workflows
– Strong knowledge of ERP systems, order management, platform integrations, and analytics tools
– Ability to manage vendors and offshore development teams
– Skilled at defining technical architecture and building business cases with ROI analysis
– Strong problem-solving, process improvement, and leadership skills
