Diesel Technician

*Job Overview*

*Set your own pay scale. We are looking for Diesel Technicians/Mechanics. *Pay starting at 20.00 and up and we train to gain. On top of your hourly wage all can earn commission. We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing diesel engines, with a focus on tractor-trailer systems. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.

*Responsibilities*

* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including shocks and struts.

* Diagnose issues using schematics and technical manuals to ensure accurate repairs.

* Conduct electrical system inspections and repairs on various industrial equipment.

* Provide tire service, including installation, rotation, and balancing of tires.

* Operate forklifts safely while moving equipment and parts as needed.

* Fabricate parts or components when necessary to enhance repair processes.

* Maintain detailed records of all service performed and parts used for each vehicle.

* Collaborate with other service technicians to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.

*Skills*

* Proficiency in maintaining diesel engines and related systems, particularly in tractor-trailer applications.

* Strong understanding of electrical systems and ability to read schematics effectively.

* Experience with industrial equipment maintenance and repair techniques.

* Ability to perform tire services efficiently and safely.

* Forklift operation certification is preferred but not required; training may be provided.

* Fabrication skills are a plus, enabling the creation of custom parts as needed.

* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
