Job Position: Quality Control Auditor
Location: Huntley, IL 60142
Pay Rate: $18.00-$21.00/hr BOE
Hours: 10pm - 6am (Monday - Friday)
Description:
Review production schedule for understanding of machines that will be running on the shift
Read and understand the requirements of the production order described in the job ticket
Verify that the information on the job ticket matches the production record. In the event of a discrepancy in the information, consult the shift supervisor or quality manager
Follow the requirements of the GMP protocol Checklist in the case of opening a medical order
Verify that the tools and materials for production have been collected as specified in the job tickets
Collect product samples to verify parts are free of defects that could affect product functionality and are within specification
Take measurements on the product to ensure that the dimensions of the parts are within in the established tolerances and thus meet the customer's requirements
Approve the production order by singing the inspection form after determining that the parts meet the company's Quality Policy on customer expectations
Notify supervisors and/or the quality manager of any condition that may affect the safety of workers or the quality of the product
Perform a visual inspection hourly ensuring that the product is free of forming issues and cosmetic defects that damage the quality of the product
Document the hourly observations in detail on the Quality Control inspection form
The frequency of dimensional inspection will be carried out as follows: for retail orders, two dimensions will be taken per shift and for medical orders, three dimensions pershift. Exceptions will only be executed if specified in the work order. Record the dimensions on the QC inspection form
Ensure that measurement tools are calibrated and free of damage that could alter the measurements collected
Inspect boxes and products to ensure that packing specifications are met
Ensure that the product is properly identified by verifying that the box label matches the product information provided in the order
Select random samples for inspection by pulling from various sections of the carton, pallet, or stacker
Verify line clearance
Make sure that quantity and weight of the product in the boxes are accurate and in accordance with what is specified in the order
Monitor the amount of waste generated during the production cycle. Inform the supervisor when the amount of waste is scaled
Comply with the non-conforming raw materials procedure when the material has been disposed of as non-conforming
Make sure that the quality bag has the material available for production such as drawing, quality alerts, samples from the previous order, product samples, checking fixtures and others
Confirm that the quantity of product produced matches that requested by the customer
Confirm that the boxes on the pallet meet the height requested for shipment
Close the production order by entering the closing data in the OMS
Other duties as assigned Qualifications:
At least 1 Year in Quality Control experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
High Scholl diploma or equivalent
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Close attention to detail
Knowledge of basic computer and math skills.
Knowledge of quality control practices & principals.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of Employees within the organization in a manner that promotes Teamwork.
Ability to perform multiple tasks in fast paced environment to assure delivery requirements.
Ability to use measuring devices like micrometers and calipers.
Ability to reach blueprint specification drawings
Documentation and reporting skills.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
Capable of conducting tests and inspections of products to evaluate quality.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Capable of identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Ability to be on feet the majority of the day.
