About the Job

We are looking for reliable and safety-minded individuals to serve as Adult Crossing Guards for Youngstown City Schools. This position plays a vital role in protecting students as they travel to and from school. Crossing Guards help ensure safe crossings at busy intersections, provide a reassuring presence for families, and model respect and responsibility in the community.

What You'll Do

Safely guide students and pedestrians across intersections before and after school

Monitor traffic flow and stop vehicles when necessary, using provided equipment

Wear required safety gear (vest, stop paddle, etc.)

Report safety concerns or traffic violations to supervisor

Provide a friendly, dependable presence each school day What We're Looking For

At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED

Dependable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Ability to remain alert and exercise good judgment
