Job Title: PM Culinary Supervisor
Department: Culinary / Kitchen
Reports To: Executive Chef or Sous Chef
Schedule: Evening/PM Shifts
Position Summary:
The PM Culinary Supervisor is responsible for overseeing kitchen operations during the evening shift, ensuring food quality, presentation, safety, and cleanliness standards are met. This role supports the culinary team by supervising staff, maintaining kitchen efficiency, and assisting with food preparation and service as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support kitchen staff during PM shift, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
Ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation according to established recipes and standards.
Coordinate timing of food production to meet service demands and maintain guest satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to management.
Assist with ordering, receiving, and proper storage of food items.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas in accordance with food safety regulations.
Enforce safety procedures and kitchen protocols among staff.
Handle issues or conflicts that arise during the shift in a professional and efficient manner.
Train and mentor new kitchen team members.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef or Sous Chef on daily specials and shift planning.
Perform line checks and ensure food stations are stocked and operational. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or certification preferred.
2+ years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (e.g., ServSafe certified).
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Physical Requirements:
Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment. Benefits:
