General Summary
The HB Billing Manager leads all hospital billing operations, providing direction and oversight to maintain compliance with billing regulations and optimize team performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hospital billing rules and serve as a resource for the team.
Supervise, train, and mentor the hospital billing staff to foster professional growth and high-quality work.
Evaluate and monitor team performance, providing coaching and counseling to encourage positive change and job progression.
Set clear objectives and priorities, assign tasks, and ensure the quality of work produced by team members.
Provide leadership through business challenges with sound judgment and strategic navigation.
Oversee daily activities to address emerging issues and trends, keeping stakeholders informed of risk assessments.
Education
An associate degree in healthcare or a related field is required. Candidates with five years of hospital billing experience may substitute this requirement. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
Work Experience
At least one year of hospital billing experience is required.
Certification/License
HFMA Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Mental/Physical Requirements
