Job Summary

An ideal candidate is an eager learner, helpful, attentive, and enjoys the educational environment. A paraprofessional assists students in the classroom.

Typical duties include:

Under the direction of a certificated teacher, delivers instruction to individuals or groups of students placed in special education programs because of special needs; monitors and reports student progress regarding behavior and performance; performs a variety of clerical, instructional duties, and functional support within the instructional program as required by the disabling/limiting condition of the student and according to established Individual Education Plans (IEPs). This job class requires a high degree of positive contact with students and staff.
