We are headquartered in Monett, Missouri and have an office in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Employees may work from either location. We do not work remote. We are IAS AC472 accredited.
This position will have the responsibility to deliver customer approval drawings, permit drawings, and/or anchor bolt layout drawings that are accurate and on time while helping others. Reports to the Drafting/Detailing Leader.
Duties/Responsibilities
Review incoming complexity 7-10 jobs in Drafting/Detailing queue that have been assigned
Identify any issues and communicate with Engineering and Drafting Lead to resolve issues as needed.
Ensure building design follows dealer request and/or Architectural prints and governing codes/specs for the given location, that all parts of the building are functional and have no interferences.
Model Job and draft all approval drawings (including any special details or section views required for clarity) using MBS, Tekla, and AutoCAD and review for accuracy.
Help with lower complexity jobs as demand requires.
Help train Drafter I and II. Required Skills/Abilities
Understanding of Metal Building construction and Fabrication
General construction sequence
Understand Architectural drawings and specifications
Steel Tech quality standards
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Tekla, MBS, Click Up software/programs
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite and Google Software
Accurately draft buildings on time and on budget using MBS, Tekla,
AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Click-Up efficiently
Works well independently or with a team in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multitask
Gives effective guidance to Drafter I and II
Draft buildings efficiently with 0 mistakes
Takes ownership of projects
Continuous development
Help train and answer questions for Drafter I and II Education and Experience
Preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent Required
2+ years of MBS (Metal Building Software) experience
3+ years of AutoCAD and Tekla (or another 3D modeling software) work experience Physical/Environment Requirements
Regular sitting, minimal lifting, and some typing
