What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Corporate Counsel to join the International Corporate Legal Team. This pivotal role will support the establishment and maintenance of legal operations worldwide, aligning with Tesla's global growth strategies and initiatives. Based in Austin, Texas, USA, this position reports directly to the Associate General Counsel, International Corporate Legal, located in Amsterdam. The role involves close collaboration with a dynamic team of attorneys and paralegals across regions including the USA, EMEA, and APAC, as part of the broader Tesla Legal Team. What You'll Do
Support compliance with corporate governance obligations for all Tesla non-US foreign subsidiaries, working with local counsel to ensure affiliates remain in good standing and meet necessary formalities such as board meetings and timely filing of annual accounts
Prepare and maintain corporate compliance documentation for Tesla foreign subsidiaries, drafting legal documents including board resolutions, intercompany funding agreements, and powers of attorney, while managing execution, filing, and organization in internal document management systems
Maintain and update the legal entity organizational chart, providing abbreviated or certified versions to internal stakeholders and third parties as needed
Assist in forming new legal entities, managing signing authorities, board composition changes, and registered address updates, while developing detailed step plans for establishing legal and operational presence in new markets across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas
Support execution of M&A transactions, new ventures, and entity integration or rationalization efforts
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders across global regions to ensure seamless legal support
Provide comprehensive corporate legal administrative support to the Associate General Counsel, including document production, meeting coordination, minute recording, and maintaining organized records of correspondence and team-related legal work
What You'll Bring
Juris Doctor (JD), licensed and in good standing to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction
Minimum 5 years of corporate legal experience with a focus on corporate governance and subsidiary maintenance
Experience within a law firm or in-house corporate legal department
Exposure to global compliance and international corporate governance preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and deadlines
Proven ability to handle multiple projects with minimal supervision in a demanding environment
