Hope Community Resources, Inc. is a non-profit disabilities service provider based in Anchorage, Alaska. Founded in 1968, our company provides services and supports to people of all ages and abilities who experience an intellectual, developmental, or other disability, traumatic brain injury, or mental health challenge.

As our Community Support Supervisor, you will oversee the teaching, coaching and mentoring of direct support staff in order to ensure the delivery of quality services to Hope support recipients. Every day we'll rely on you to work with guardians, our support recipients, and staff to ensure the holistic wellbeing of those we serve. To thrive in this role, you should have evidenced supervision experience and a strong passion for intellectural and development disabilities.

Job Duties

Supervises, develops, evaluates, counsels, and disciplines staff. Collaborates in all aspects of onboarding personnel to fulfill service delivery requirements.

Schedules staff in alignment with services delineated in the Plan of Care and/or support plans and with service delivery requirement.

Develops goals and objectives in partnership with support recipients in alignment with their desired outcomes and ensures staff implementation.

Ensures direct support staff provide assistance to support recipients in accessing services in the community, including but not limited to research of options, applications, medical and other appointments, shopping and recreational services.

Conducts visits for all environments as required. Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in Health Science, Social Science, or Special Education or related field required. Emphasis of study in developmental disabilities preferred. Experience in lieu of education may be accepted on a one for one basis. Experience

Two years of experience working in social services required, one year of which involving responsibility in case management and supervision required.

Experience working with adults who experience disabilities strongly preferred.
