Elitsac Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Equipment Maintenance Assistant / Yard Associate to join our team. In this role, you’ll help maintain our equipment fleet, assist technicians with repairs, and support day-to-day operations in our lumberyard. This position plays a key part in ensuring our tools, vehicles, and machinery are safe, reliable, and ready to keep our business running efficiently.
Responsibilities
Inspect, clean, and lubricate equipment
Assist in inspecting machinery and equipment for faults and malfunctions
Help repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components
Assist with ordering spare parts and equipment as needed
Keep detailed records of maintenance work performed
Collaborate with other maintenance staff to manage repairs efficiently
Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-friendly shop and lumberyard environment
Perform housekeeping and organization tasks as needed
Assist in taking regular inventory of stock
Load and unload customer vehicles; verify invoices for accuracy
Assist yard staff with loading/unloading trucks and daily yard upkeep
Maintain and straighten lumber stacks regularly
Adhere to all company policies and safety standards
Drive local delivery routes as assigned
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license
Proven experience or education as an Equipment Maintenance Assistant or similar role
Familiarity with construction machinery and equipment
Understanding of basic mechanical systems and maintenance principles
Ability to operate heavy equipment and machinery safely
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification a plus
