Join a dedicated healthcare team as an Apprentice Facility Technician, responsible for maintaining and repairing essential healthcare facilities, systems, and equipment. This role involves receiving and completing work order requests, prioritizing critical repairs, and performing preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, power management, and safety systems.
Essential Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion.
Inspect and perform routine or as-needed repairs on various facility systems.
Coordinate with specialists for complex repairs and schedule maintenance to minimize operational disruptions.
Assist in emergency responses such as fire alarms and other safety codes.
Maintain compliance with privacy and security regulations related to Protected Health Information (PHI).
Foster effective communication and professional relationships with patients, team members, contractors, and external agencies.
Education: No formal education required; completion of an approved apprenticeship program is preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in a similar maintenance environment is advantageous.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license and auto insurance meeting regional requirements if driving is necessary; journeyman licensure is preferred.
Skills and Abilities: Physical stamina and ability to lift/move heavy objects (up to 100 lbs occasionally), self-direction, and the capacity to follow instructions accurately.
Physical Requirements: This role involves heavy work, including standing or walking 51-75% of the day.
