Adjunct Faculty- Literary Studies

We are seeking a candidate to teach ENG102, "Introduction to Literary Studies," and ENG 316, "World Literature: 18th Century to the Present," during the Spring 2026 semester (Jan 20-May 1).

In compliance with Massachusetts pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is $4,700 per course. This range reflects base pay only and does not include other potential compensation or benefits.

The instructor will be required to...

be aware of and abide by Endicott's academic policies

use the course description and honor the learning outcomes of the course.

deliver the courses in person.

use Canvas as the course's learning management system.

meet deadlines for roster verification and submission of grades.

meet with students if they request assistance or need clarification for any course-related matter.

communicate with the Associate Dean for Communication & Humanities if and when issues arise concerning the teaching of the course, and with the Dean of Social Sciences, Communication, and Humanities about other matters.

if requested, provide samples of student work that may be used for assessment purposes.

use their Endicott email address when communicating with students.

Qualifications:

M.A. or Ph.D. in Literature or a related field.

Commitment to student-centered teaching.

Prior college-level teaching experience preferred.
