Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a full-time Production Maintenance Technician! You will be essential in maintaining, repairing, and enhancing the equipment used in our bottling and packaging operations.

Location: Kingfield, ME

Pay: $37.80/hour + shift differential for applicable hours worked

Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and testing on bottling and packaging equipment.

Perform tasks ranging from minor repairs to major overhauls on all equipment.

Identify and participate in projects aimed at reducing processing waste.

Engage in the preventative maintenance program to lower operational costs through PM optimization.

Dismantle, clean, repair, and test electrical, electronic, and mechanical components.

Encourage teamwork and provide guidance to enhance our collective ability to minimize production loss and respond safely to equipment issues.

Maintain up-to-date preventative maintenance logs and records of all testing and repairs.

Recommend equipment for proactive maintenance programs.

Identify potential mechanical and electrical issues throughout the plant.

Rebuild worn equipment, such as gearboxes, during scheduled PMs.

Troubleshoot and repair various machine systems including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic.

Utilize advanced breakdown analysis techniques to mitigate recurring machine failures.

Focus on Production support areas including Mechanical Room, Water Processing, Boiler Room, and Wastewater Treatment.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical training or certifications are a plus.

Minimum of three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Completion of the Mechanical Aptitude Test is necessary for consideration.

Experience with compressors, chillers, water treatment systems, and boilers is a benefit.

Strong expertise in compressed air systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, and water processing preferred.

Knowledge of bottling equipment, PM programs, and SAP systems is advantageous.

Ability to diagnose and replace electric motors is essential.

Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Strong communication skills to interact with team members effectively.

Adept at reading mechanical drawings and OEM technical documentation.

Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office applications.

Willingness to be available for call-ins and cover shifts as needed.

Collaboration with the Safety department to maintain a zero-injury workplace.

Positive attitude and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are a must.

Flexible Full-Time Program: Please note that there may be slower business periods resulting in fewer hours. Temporary layoffs may occur but generally will not exceed 90 days. Benefits will remain active during this period, with a reinstatement bonus offered upon your return.
