Kitchen Porter Supervisor
Oversee dish room and pot sink areas during scheduled shift to ensure clean, sanitary stock of dishes, glasses and utensils and ensures dish room and pot sink is properly staffed. Clean the dish room and machine thoroughly at the end of each shift, as well as making sure pot sink and mop rooms are cleaned at the end of shift. This position will lead by example to support other areas of operations throughout the shift.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $18.81-$23.04 per hour.
Core Responsibilities
Oversee and works with all dish room staff members and assigns rotating responsibilities as necessary.
Provide training for new staff members in proper safety and sanitation procedures and in the operation of dish room equipment such as dishwasher, carts, etc.
Load soiled dishes onto dish rack and prepare dishwasher for set cycle. Loads appropriate soap levels and sets time for cycle. Manage dish room during shift.
Unload and stacks dishes and glassware and sort them for storage.
Distribute clean dishware to appropriate areas.
Notify Dining Room Manager of maintenance and repair problems.
Maintain a clean, sanitary work area and ensure that staff members follow proper sanitation procedures.
Required to perform inventory of dish stock on regular basis
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
Knowledge of sanitation requirements and dish room safety procedures.
1-2 years of dish room and supervisory experience preferred.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. on a daily basis, including lifting full milk crates into the cooler above waist level.
Must be able to lift full glass racks and coffee racks above waist level.
Must be able to push and pull 150 lbs. frequently.
This job also requires frequent and repetitive overhead reaching and lifting, as well as standing for long periods of time.
Also requires frequent and repetitive bending and twisting motions.
