Evening Security Guard - Lindbergh Schools
Full-time position, 8 hours/day; 40 hours/week
Schedule: 12 months, Monday-Friday
Starting hourly rate: $20.00, subject to experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)
Conduct routine patrols of campuses, including buildings, parking lots, playgrounds, storage facilities, etc. with a primary focus on securing facilities, property, and enforcing campus closure during evening hours.
Security Lead for crowd and vehicle control at extracurricular activities and special events occurring primarily during the evening and night.
Patrol district property, secure any unlocked property and report to local police any criminal violations observed.
Monitor students, visitors, and campus personnel on campus for appropriate behavior, particularly during after-school and evening activities.
Prepare written reports if necessary.
Conduct security building assessments; thoroughly check for and ensure all access points (doors, windows, etc.) are secured and locked at the close of business and throughout the shift.
Operate a two-way radio, cellphone (alerts and crisis communication), and basic computer skills for writing reports and logs.
Enforce traffic and parking regulations on district property.
Direct emergency vehicles when necessary.
Assist administrators with disturbances/fights/safety/security.
Report safety/security concerns to the proper authority.
Respond to panic/fire/burglar alarms. Help maintain the security of windows and doors on district property.
Monitor field and building use for proper district permits.
Detain and investigate suspicious persons/vehicles.
Prevent unauthorized persons from entering district property. This includes ensuring only authorized personnel and guests are present after facility closure.
Escort unauthorized persons from district property.
Give assistance to staff, students, and patrons as needed.
Install covert security surveillance systems when requested.
Maintain confidentiality concerning district investigations and incidents. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel and/or school administrators.
Report any pertinent findings immediately to your supervisor (Director of Safety and Security).
Must follow all St. Louis County Police/Security protocols that are represented under the security license obtained through the St. Louis County Police/Security Training Program.
Assist with any other duties deemed necessary for the good Education and/or Experience:
Prior law enforcement, security, or military background preferred.
At least 21 years of age. Certificates/Licenses:
Security Certification required; if not certified, District will reimburse certification cost for hired person; must obtain within one month of hire
