One my best clients is currently seeking a Safety Specialist for their facility located in a very rural part of Northern Mississippi. They are a leading food manufacturing company dedicated to delivering high-quality ready-to-eat products nationwide. As our logistics operations expand, we're seeking a Safety Specialist to oversee transportation safety, DOT compliance, and driver training programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company transportation policies

Develop and implement driver safety training programs

Conduct audits, inspections, and incident investigations related to fleet operations

Monitor and maintain driver qualification files and safety records

Collaborate with logistics, HR, and operations teams to promote a culture of safety

Stay current on federal and state transportation regulations Qualifications:

Proven experience in transportation safety within a manufacturing or logistics environment

Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and FMCSA standards

Experience developing and delivering driver training programs

Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills

Proficiency in safety reporting and documentation

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Transportation, or related field preferred #JDP
